Due to Covid-19, monthly car seat check days are suspended until further notice. Individual appointments may be made by calling 360-491-2410.

Car seat checks are available at the District’s Headquarters on the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 11 am to 1 pm

Additional dates and times are also available throughout the community.  Please contact the District’s Headquarters at 360-491-2410 for specific dates and times or for other questions you may have.

PLEASE NOTE:  For car seat inspection and/or installation other than at scheduled events, you must make an appointment.  Due to the limited number of car seat technicians on site, we cannot guarantee same day service.

Washington State Child Restraint Laws

Effective January 1, 2020

  • Children under 13 years old be transported in the back seat where it is practical to do so.
  • Children 4 years and older must ride in a car seat or booster seat until they are 4’9″ tall.
  • Children ages 2 – 4 years must ride in a car seat with a harness (rear or forward-facing).
  • Children up to age 2 must ride in a rear-facing car seat.

For the best protection, a child should remain in each stage of restraint until they reach the maximum height and weight on the manufacturer’s instructions.
